How MotionLab by Agile Consulting handles your personal and study data.

Overview

Agile Consulting (“we,” “us”) operates MotionLab, a video time and motion study platform. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information in these categories:

  • Account information — name, work email, company, role, and profile preferences you provide when you register or update your account.
  • Video uploads and study data — workstation videos you upload, analysis outputs (element breakdowns, standard times, exports), and related metadata such as file name, duration, and processing status.
  • Usage data — how you interact with the product (features used, analysis minutes consumed, error logs needed to diagnose issues, and support correspondence).
  • Technical and security data — IP address, browser and device characteristics, session identifiers, and timestamps. We use this data to authenticate sessions, prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain service security — not for advertising profiling.

How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve MotionLab and your study results.
  • Authenticate accounts, maintain sessions, and protect against fraud or misuse.
  • Enforce free-tier and fair-use limits (currently 5 analysis minutes on signup).
  • Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
  • Analyse aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve product quality.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use uploaded videos for unrelated marketing purposes.

Data retention

We retain account and study data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Video files and analysis results may be deleted after a defined retention period for demo accounts; paid or enterprise deployments may have custom retention terms.

Security and access logs are retained for a limited period consistent with operational and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymised.

Third-party service providers

We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to host MotionLab, store uploads, and process videos. Video analysis is performed by a contracted video analysis service provider under confidentiality and data-processing terms. These providers may only process your data on our instructions and for the purpose of delivering the service.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or request portability.
